Machine Shop CNC Apprentice (Level 3 Machining Technician)
This is an opportunity to join our expanding team based in Leicester, within a world leading metrology business. The work is varied and includes using a range of manual machines, setting up and operation of CNC machines, reading drawings and using computers and software to aid in the manufacture of components. Full on-site training is provided.
Role
- Produce components / tooling using a range of manual machines safely and to the required quality and within reasonable time scales
- Setup and operate various CNC Machines 3 axis to 5 axis to produce accurate components safely and to the required quality and within reasonable time scales
- Read drawings and measure components to the drawing tolerances using various measuring kit
- Use computers and software to aid in the manufacture of components
Training
Qualification:
- Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard in Machining Technician

Delivery Method:
- Apprentices attend Loughborough College 1 day per week (Term Time Only)
To be a fully skilled CNC machine operator. Future development could be to progress to a Production Engineer.
