ICT Apprentice

We are seeking an enthusiastic IT Apprentice to be part of our dedicated IT team. You will play a crucial role in providing front line support and services to classrooms. You will be managing and supporting the academy’s systems, including Office 365 / Google and a wide range of associated hardware and software.

Role

  • To provide front line support and services to Classrooms
  • Provide support and coaching to teachers, students and support staff
  • Assist with installation, configuration and imaging of desktop computers, laptops and chrome books
  • User Account Management on various IT systems including Active Directory
  • Application support and maintenance (currently SIMS)
  • Wireless Network System
  • Maintaining equipment asset registers and device loans
  • Managing and supporting cloud-based systems – Office 365 / Google
  • Perform backups and restoration of data when required
  • IT Hardware upgrades / repairs
  • Deal with external suppliers / support contracts
  • Ordering of IT equipment and consumables
  • To assist at College events, (Awards evenings / Open Evenings / Welcome Days / Sports Days) as and when required
  • Assist with the maintenance of Printers, Print Management Software, Scanners and projector/TVs/interactive boards 
  • To perform any technical and administration related tasks as requested by the Network Manager

Training

This apprenticeship is delivered as a day release at our Stratford campus.
