Apprentice Project Manager

As an Apprentice Project Manager, you will learn and assist in the planning, execution, and completion of various projects. This apprenticeship offers practical experience and training, enabling you to develop the skills necessary to manage projects effectively, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

Role

  • Ensuring a safe working environment and ensuring relevant health and safety documentation is in place;
  • Liaising with client, day to day, to ensure labour is focused upon their programme requirements; working diligently and within the confines of the programme;
  • Formulation of weekly progress reports documenting progress against programme, materials on site and call off thereof and detailing any blockers to our progress such as area availability, site and atmospheric conditions;
  • Understanding the clients programme and our contractual requirements, such as scope, attendances and any other relevant information;
  • Build a positive rapport with both client and site teams;
  • Assist with managing all correspondence related to this project;
  • Attend site meetings; progress meetings, safety meeting and project reviews with customer, sub-contractors and issue relevant meeting minutes to line management;
  • Ensure that all additional work is identified and the commercial team are issued with these;
  • Appreciate and understand the commercial implications and drivers within the construction process and incorporate these within decision making;

Training

Level 4 Construction Site Supervisor level 4 delivered on a day release basis at our City Campus, Granville Road, Sheffield, S2 2RL.

  • 5 including English and Maths GCSE or equivalent, grade 4/C and above (Essential)

  • Construction/Civil Engineering extended diploma BTEC or equivalent, grade Pass or above; or (Essential)
