Apprentice Test Engineer

Working alongside the Product Development Team to deliver testing activities relating to the functionality of traffic control systems designed & manufactured by Traffic Group Signals. You will be involved in performing factory-based pre-deployment checks of signalling equipment that the group deploy to high profile roadwork sites throughout the UK.

Role

A full package of training will be provided to ensure the successful applicant becomes familiar with all aspects of the products under test and will report to the line manager. Initially the role will execute tests that have been developed by the line manager, but the role will grow towards taking responsibility also for the creation of future test regimes and scripts. 

Your duties will include:

  • Execution of test cases within the company’s web-based test scripting and recording system.
  • Generation of bug and incident reports in response to test failures and required to notify these to the development team.
  • Contribution to the generation of formal test reports.
  • Completion of Factory Acceptance testing for complete signalling systems. 

Training

EAL Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence) EAL Level 3 Diploma in Advanced, Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence) – Technical Support, EAL Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge)
