Mechanical Design Engineer/Project Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Innovative Design: Craft cost-effective, stylish, and robust audio products using 3D CAD (Inventor).
  • Industrial Design: Shape the future of professional audio products with your design prowess.
  • Project Management: Lead diverse R&D activities, ensuring projects are on track and objectives are met.
  • Material Design: Spearhead design processes involving sheet metal, extrusions, and injection molding.
  • Cost Engineering: Manage forecasting and budgeting to keep projects financially sound.
  • Creative Artwork: Use Adobe Suite for 2D CAD artworks and conceptual layouts.
  • Manufacturing Excellence: Ensure designs are ready for manufacture with innovative assembly and precise control.
  • Project Planning: Achieve project goals by planning and coordinating activities effectively.
  • Progress Evaluation: Continuously assess and refine project implementation.
  • Adaptability: Create and revise project work plans to meet evolving needs.
  • Integrity Testing: Evaluate the environmental and mechanical integrity of prototypes and final designs.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with electronic, software design, production engineering, and technical support teams.
  • BOM Generation: Produce and analyse Bills of Materials with precision.

Qualifications:

  • HND/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • A Degree in Product/Industrial Design is also welcome, provided you have a strong mechanical design background.

Desirable Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years of design experience in the industry.
  • Proficiency in designing with sheet metal fabrication and plastic molding.
  • Experience with 3D CAD systems, especially Autodesk Inventor.
  • Background in industrial product design, focusing on professional and highly styled products.
  • Expertise in design for manufacture, especially for cost-sensitive and fast-to-market products.
  • Fresh graduates with exceptional skills in mechanical engineering and strong project experience are also encouraged to apply.
