My client, a leading provider of support to the defence industry is actively recruiting for a Systems Test Engineer, to play a key role in ensuring that defence systems meet critical requirements by applying verification and validation (V&V) processes across the engineering life cycle.
Responsibilities required for the position of Systems Test Engineer
- Apply IVVTQA (or similar such as MBT, SysML, MBSE) principles across the systems engineering life cycle, from requirements through to integration and validation.
- Contribute to IVVTQA management plans, processes, and methods to ensure project success.
- Support system verification and validation through comprehensive planning, execution, and reporting.
- Ensure that V&V activities meet both internal and external standards and requirements.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to support design reviews, risk assessments, and change management processes.
Ideal experience for the Systems Test Engineer
- A degree or equivalent experience in Systems Engineering, Software, or Hardware Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of systems engineering V&V (or similar) processes and experience in planning, delivering, and reporting V&V activities.
- Proven track record in using an evidence-based approach for systems integration, verification, validation, and acceptance.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and technical report writing skills.
- Ability to think critically and solve complex problems using systems thinking and root cause analysis.
