Job Title: PHP Developer

Location: Hertfordshire (Hybrid twice a week)

Salary - £45,000 - £55,000

PHP - JavaScript - MySQL - HTML - CSS - OOP - Data Storage - MariaDB

Working within a successful travel sector, they intimately understood the intricate needs of travel businesses and have exploited this.

Responsibilities:

• Write clean procedural and object-oriented PHP code to a high standard.
• Strong proficiency in PHP (without framework), MySQL/MariaDB, HTML, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with other data storage and caching solutions such as Memcached and Redis,
• Develop front-end and back-end of cutting-edge web-based applications.
• Design, plan, and implement new features while enhancing existing ones.
• Ensure scalability and maintainability of code, adhering to industry best practices for security.
• Demonstrate excellent database design skills, optimizing structures for scalability.
• Introduce and enhance internal tools and processes.
• Take ownership of technical debt, knowing when to refactor code.
• Apply expertise in SEO, Internationalisation, and code versioning concepts.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience in PHP development
• Proficiency in MySQL/MariaDB, HTML, JavaScript, and other relevant technologies.
• Experience with data storage and caching solutions.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
