Service Desk Engineer

We are recruiting for a number of contract Service Desk Engineers to join a leading healthcare company based in Runcorn. The role will operate predominantly remote with 1 day per week required on site. However, full presence in the office is required for the first few weeks for training. The initial contract length will be 3 months inside IR35, and requires candidates available for immediate interview and start.

Experience in the following is preferable, but training will be provided:

  • Possess an awareness and understanding of IT Operational Delivery of End point services.
  • Experience of supporting endpoint devices, remotely, over the phone, via IM and where appropriate travel to provide desk-side support 
  • Experience supporting a wide user base operating Windows 10, peripherals, hardware, software, printers and other peripherals
  • Well organised, resourceful and a proficient problem solver comfortable working under pressure with a logical mindset
  • Experience supporting Microsoft OS and third-party applications.  
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to engage with a wide variety of users in a fast-paced service desk environment.
