IT Project Manager

Role: IT Project Manager - 1 Year FTC

Our client has embarked upon a programme of business transformation initiatives; one of which is their Technological Capability. They are looking to enhance, improve and bring in new technical capability in order to drive enhanced organizational performance.

 

These projects primarily end-user-led, with specific requirements and goals. Some will fall into off-the-shelf products and others bespoke solutions. The increased focus in the development of our strategic IT plan has created a new position with the business as part of the EMEA IT Team.

 

Based in the EMEA HQ London office, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the programme of the company's technology-driven innovation, change management, and transformation projects.

 

The role will require strong collaboration with existing internal teams both in EMEA and US, managing 3rd party vendor solutions while ensuring industry best practices are adhered to.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Full lifecycle and execution of IT innovation for business improvement, system, and service continuity projects.
  • Ability to recognise and validate how business can drive technology transformation.
  • Defining project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects are fully executed to specification, within agreed timeframe and budgets.
  • Monitor project progress, track key milestones, identify, and mitigate any risks and issues as they arise.
  • Own the project management and change process from inception through to test/ deployment.
  • Identify and articulate relevant challenges, distinguish priorities and synergies across the company's wider project sphere.
  • Working alongside existing PMO teams to ensuring harmonisation of global portfolio.
  • Ensure all proposals meet the company's obligations to risk, compliance, and governance.
  • Engaging project sponsors to build justification, rationale, and business cases.
  • Manage, maintain, and update the project sponsor team and charter tracking tools.
  • Interpreting BI data to identify key area of insight and enhancements.
  • Identify relevant training opportunities to ensure successful end to end delivery.
  • UAT to successfully embed new technology and processes, pinpoint technical challenges and convey solutions.
  • Coordinating BAU handover and appropriate training and upskilling, delivering SOP/ documentation

 

Experience:

  • 4+ year track record of delivering projects across an organisation of similar size and stature Prince 2 or similar PM qualification.
  • Broad exposure and understanding of core MS systems and associated mainstream enterprise applications.
  • Accomplished verbal and written communicator across all levels.
  • Strong leadership skills, enthusiastic, collaborative, resourceful and methodical.
  • Recognising patterns and trends to draw key conclusions to continuously improve output.
  • Ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively mitigate obstacles and solve technical problems.
  • Working closely with local and global teams to strengthen technical operations of the business vision.
  • Influencing outcomes for internal and external relationships.
  • Ability to gain the support of others, manage and influence expectations
