Band 6 Systems Developer - Pharmacy

Job summary

The post-holder will assist in appraising new technologies and facilitate their adoption by the Trust in accordance with national and local strategies.

The post-holder will undertake key tasks to support the local implementation of the National drivers for Information Technology to ensure a smooth migration to the new services. In support of this initiative, s/he will assist with integrating the growing number of distributed clinical information systems into a single electronic patient record.

The post-holder will report to the Lead Systems Developer - Pharmacy and will assist in managing the Pharmacy priorities in accordance with the Senior Management Team (SMT).

Main duties of the job

* Work in collaboration with the Lead Systems Developer - Pharmacy to achieve successful priorities.

* Liaise with Trust staff at all levels to analyse highly complex requirements and produce proposals for information systems.

* Collaborate with other technical leads within ICT and with technical representatives from other healthcare and commercial organisations to achieve project goals.

* Interpret, distil, and disseminate complex ICT concepts to ICT staff through informal briefings.

* Interpret, distil, and disseminate complex ICT concepts to non-ICT staff through formal presentations and informal briefings.

* Promote the benefits of collecting timely and accurate information to Trust staff at all levels.

  • *GCSE or higher qualification in mathematics
  • *Degree or equivalent academic qualification in computer-related science.

  • *Structured systems analysis and design methodologies.
