A high-growth B2B SaaS company is looking for an experienced Vice President of Marketing or Chief Marketing Officer to lead its marketing function and drive measurable business impact. This role is ideal for a dynamic marketing leader who has successfully scaled a B2B SaaS company from at least £25M to £50M+ ARR and understands the blueprint for achieving ambitious growth targets.
Product Marketing expertise is a pre-requisite for this hire - driving market entry, establishing product-market fit, and accelerating growth.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead a team of seven marketers and play a pivotal role in shaping a bold marketing strategy that enhances brand visibility, generates high-quality leads, and positions the company as a market leader.
You’ll be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy across brand, content, demand generation, product marketing, and growth initiatives. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires a blend of strategic vision and executional excellence to cut through in a competitive market.
This role demands a problem-solving mindset—someone who takes decisive action, iterates quickly, and embraces bold decision-making to drive rapid, measurable growth.
- Lead Generation & Nurturing: Develop and execute strategies to attract, engage, and convert high-quality leads to support revenue growth.
- Brand Positioning & Awareness: Strengthen brand credibility and visibility among enterprise B2C brands.
- Scalable Marketing Execution: Implement and optimise multi-channel marketing initiatives across events, press, content, paid media, and product marketing to drive awareness, consideration, and conversion.
- Sales & Marketing Alignment: Ensure seamless collaboration between marketing and sales to improve pipeline efficiency and revenue impact.
- Elevate Brand Awareness: Expand reach beyond the core audience and establish the company as a leader in MarTech.
- Increase Market Share: Strengthen competitive differentiation and position the brand as the go-to solution for enterprise marketers.
- Optimise the Buyer Journey: Deepen understanding of the ICP (Ideal Customer Profile) , their pain points, and decision-making processes to refine messaging and positioning.
We are looking for a seasoned marketing leader with a proven track record of scaling B2B SaaS companies through data-driven, high-impact marketing strategies.
- Proven experience scaling SaaS companies from at least £25M to £50M+ ARR (this is essential).
- Strong understanding of SaaS buying cycles and enterprise sales processes.
- Expertise in product marketing, growth marketing, and demand generation , with the ability to integrate content, brand, and communications into a unified strategy.
- A data-driven decision-maker who balances analytics with creative storytelling.
- Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing marketing teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and making bold, strategic decisions.
- MarTech experience is highly desirable.
- Proven expertise in Product Marketing —driving market entry, establishing product-market fit, and accelerating growth - critical!!
- Buyer Insights: Understanding their motivations, challenges, and buying behaviours.
- Product Positioning: Clearly articulating how the product fits into customer workflows and delivers value.
- Market Differentiation: Defining competitive positioning and messaging to strengthen brand authority.
While data, funnel analysis, and historical performance are important, the immediate priority is gaining a deep understanding of the buyer before layering in quantitative insights. The goal is to establish the company as the leading solution for data-driven marketing decision-making, ensuring it remains top-of-mind and in the consideration set of its ICP customers.
This is not a first-time VP role. Candidates must have direct experience leading marketing at a similar growth stage and be prepared to discuss live case studies of successfully scaling a SaaS company from £25M+ ARR.
