Apprentice Logistics Operative
We are now seeking an Apprentice to work within our Logistics Department. We appreciate you may currently have little or no warehousing or distribution experience but through the programme, we offer you will gain extensive knowledge of a variety of areas.
Role
- Picking and packing of orders for our customers
- Utilisation of hand-held scanners combined with operating systems that work within our Warehouse Management System
- Labelling of products for delivery to customers
- Exposure to utilising various Microsoft packages
- Operating Manual Handling Equipment following appropriate training
- Stock Control including inventory counts and investigatory work
- Determining pick-path efficiencies
- Supporting with Tier 1 customer orders
- Operating within our Goods-In department including receiving stock and putting away of stock
Training
- Training will take place within the workplace and via off-the-job training, further details will be made available at a later date
- At the end of the apprenticeship, you will achieve a supply chain/warehouse operative level 2 qualification
- Functional Skills in English and maths (if required)
