Senior Security Analyst

Salary - Up to £50,000 depending on experience with a total package of up to £58,750 (Generous bonus scheme), plus pension

Location - Flexible location and hybrid working with some travel to our Kingswood office

As a Senior Security Analyst, an integral part of our team, you'll play a crucial role in pursuing the company's cybersecurity strategy across Veolia in the UK, Ireland, Finland, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Belgium. The Senior Security Analyst will support the Security Architects and wider team to run day to day BAU and projects, manage the vital responsibility of identifying, evaluating, and prioritising cyber risks within the business.

What will you be doing?

  • The Senior Security Analyst will work with Security Architects to take on delegated complex tasks,drive projects and proactively monitor work loads.
  • Act as a mentor to a team of cyber security professionals, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and support their career goals.
  • Assist in maintaining crisis communication plans, providing timely and transparent communication during security incidents, leveraging expert, informed opinion to legal and media teams, ensuring proportional and effective responses to threats and exposures.
  • Ensuring that customer data and systems are protected from cyber threats, and that customer confidentiality, integrity, and availability are maintained at all times.
  • Collaborating with Security Architects and wider Digital Business teams to understand their specific security requirements and concerns, and tailoring cyber security solutions to meet their needs.
  • Ensuring that all cyber security solutions are compliant with relevant laws and regulations, such as GDPR, NIS 2, and the UK Data Protection Act 2018, and that customers are aware of their compliance obligations.
  • Ensuring that cyber security solutions are designed and implemented with sustainability in mind, considering factors such as energy efficiency, waste reduction, and environmental impact.
  • Developing and implementing sustainable cyber security policies and procedures that align with industry best practices and standards, such as ISO 27001.



What are we looking for?

  • Strong knowledge of enterprise security architecture.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to think strategically.
  • Strong problem-solving ability with excellent communication skills.
  • Developed and executed security policies and procedures.
  • Experience of performing risk assessments or audits.Managed security incidents.
  • Experience supervising a team of security professionals.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Relevant professional certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) are beneficial but not required.
