Senior Security Quality Compliance Officer

Salary - From £50,000 with a total package from £66,600 (Car/Car Allowance & Bonus)

Location - Flexible location and hybrid working with some travel to our Kingswood or 210 office and potentially other locations within the Veolia Northern Europe zone

The Senior Security Compliance Officer for our Northern Europe zone will ensure the organisation's security maintains compliance, whilst conducting thorough inspections and overseeing the implementation of audits to ensure that ISMS practices align with regulatory and voluntary standards.

The Senior Security Compliance Officer will assist with the development, implementation and maintenance of IT security policies and procedures and support the organisation for CAP, CE, CE+, ISO27001 and RMADS audits.

What will you be doing?

  • The Senior Security Compliance Officer will work closely with ISO/IEC 27001.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships to assist with any cybersecurity or compliance risks.
  • Bring your understanding of security frameworks, best practice and methodology to assist Veolia's ongoing security journey
  • Contribute to training and awareness sessions to educate the business on cybersecurity best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Liaise with the organisation and external auditors by facilitating the audit process, providing any necessary documentation and addressing any findings promptly.
  • Ensure the organisation's information security management system aligns with the requirements of ISO 27001.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential threats.
  • Stay up to date with emerging cybersecurity threats, regulatory changes and industry best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce the environmental impact of the organisation's IT infrastructure and operational processes related to security and compliance.
  • Encourage the adoption of virtualisation, cloud computing and other green IT solutions to reduce our carbon footprint.



What are we looking for?

  • ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor and/or Lead Implementer.
  • Experience in implementing ISMS' and quality management systems.
  • Knowledge of compliance standards and frameworks.
  • Conducting internal and external audits.
  • Senior stakeholder engagement.
  • In depth knowledge of risk management.
