System Software Engineer

Contract Position – Immediate Start

Based in Chippenham

£500 – 600 per day (outside IR35)

The Role:

Our client is currently looking for a System Software Engineer to work in Chippenham on a contract basis. The role will involve the Integration and testing of the interfaces between supplier subsystems to ETCS OBU Trainguard 200 and to the UK Freight Electric, Diesel Electric/Diesel vehicles.

You will be required to integrate subsystems on Test and Integration rigs and update the system with new software and test prior to release for Test.

Experience Required:

• Rail Vehicle Acceptance Testing, Instrumentation and Software Development
• Railway signalling, OTMR, TPWS, ETCS
• Development of Safety related software
• Design/Integration for RIA12 and EN 50155
• Competence in Software Clearing
• Experience in using C++, C# Java, Python, PHP, JavaScript, jQuery and shell scripting, Git, Jira, Bugzilla, OpenGL, IBM DOORS
• VOIP packet level diagnostics
