Head of Asset Information

* To lead on the 30-year forecasting and business planning that ensures our homes meet the current and future standards.
* To ensure we know our homes through a variety of data sets that are kept dynamic and updated. This includes delivery of our home condition survey programme ensuring component age, condition and future replacement are recorded in the Asset Management database.
* To ensure that the necessary information is available and analysed appropriately for all homes and other assets from various business activity.
* Work with key stakeholders across the business to develop detailed data improvement programmes and monitor the delivery of these, reporting progress and performance to Director of Strategic Asset management, Asset Data Forum and other internal and external partners.
* Lead and develop the strategic priorities and plans for the ensuring excellent customer focus and clarity for all on direction and colleague contribution;
* Lead by example; empower, inspire, support and develop your managers and teams in delivering excellent customer services, value for money and embracing diversity. Be a role model and ambassador of the Southern Housing culture and expected behaviours, acting with openness, professionalism and integrity at all times.
* To lead on the management and development of the Asset Management Systems database/s and information links to other systems. This includes home condition data and forecast modelling; planned maintenance module, compliance data, and energy data. Lead on initiatives to enable smarter use of data to inform decision making, including data analytic using a variety of data sources.
* To lead and coordinate the standardisation, risk management, business resilience and business improvement across the Asset Management directorate.
* Manage suppliers and consultants as per business plan and relevant to the role.
* Work with key stakeholders to design and implement best in class technical standards - develop and implement these with stakeholders, document and maintain optimum technical standards for the creation, management, modification and improvement and maintenance of built assets and building services.
* Support the development and implementation of an active asset management approach including the implementation of a new stock appraisal system to identify suitable properties for disposal, investment, remodelling or alternative use.
* Lead on the development of policies, asset information dictionary, data ownership and asset information standards.
* Manage and review component life cycle costing and depreciation.
