Business Administration Apprentice
Throughout the apprenticeship, you will delve into the intricacies of the ITAD industry. This hands-on experience will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of our processes. During your journey, you will spend time on administration duties for each part of the business such as IT, Accounts, Sales, compliance, and production.
Role
Company induction:
- Meet the team and any induction documentation/training that needs to be completed
- Introduction to key personnel and departments
- Familiarisation with company policies, procedures, and systems
Office management:
- Learn to manage office supplies, equipment, and facilities
- Understand efficient filing systems and documentation management
- Schedule appointments & meetings
- Assist with the preparation and distribution of documents/reports
- Develop time management and organisational skills
Communication skills:
- Written communication: composing emails, memos, and reports
- Verbal communication: answering phones, conducting meetings, and interacting with colleagues
Data management:
- Data entry
- Data analysis and reporting
Financial administration:
- Assisting with invoicing for sales and suppliers and raising payment
- Analysing retail sales report to ensure accurate invoicing
- Track payments received through retail outlets
- Working with sage software
Project support:
- Supporting project managers with scheduling, coordination, and documentation
- Assisting in project planning, monitoring progress, and reporting
IT and Technical Skills:
- The use of office software suites
- Familiarity with company specific software and systems
Training
- Business Administrator Level 3
- One day a month at Telford College
- Regular assessor visits
- Mentor on-site
During the apprenticeship, you will have the opportunity to develop new skills and explore various roles within the company. We aim for apprentices to find a role they enjoy and excel in, or even carve out a completely new position that aligns with their talents and interests.
