Network Engineer

Role: Network Engineer | £600 Inside IR35 | 6 months 

Rate: £600/day (Inside IR35)

Duration: 6 months

Start Date: ASAP

Location: London (Hybrid)

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure, implement, and support complex multi-site LAN/WAN network solutions (primarily Cisco-based)
• Advanced understanding of routing, switching, and secure network technologies (Access control, NGFW, IDS/IPS, IPSEC/SSL encryption)
• Troubleshooting and problem diagnosis

Platform Experience:

• Cisco: Branch/Edge Routers, Nexus Switches (5-7K), Adaptive Security Appliances
• F5: Local & Global Load-balancers
• Protocols: MPLS, QOS, Secure/Resilient Routing, Mobile communications

Desirable Skills:

• Juniper Firewalls (highly desirable)
• Web Application/Next-gen Firewalls (Barracuda, Palo Alto)
• Unix/Linux knowledge, SAN/FCOE implementation, Fibre networks
• Tools: SolarWinds Orion, CiscoWorks LMS, SNMPv3, Web Filtering (Websense)
