Senior Data Engineer

Senior Data Engineer | Azure | Kimball | Financial Services

Our client, a leading Financial Services company are looking to bring in a Senior Data Engineer to lead their BI functions, whilst working alongside their Department Heads. 

Salary: £90,(Apply online only) - £100,(Apply online only)

Address: London office 3 days a week. 

We are looking for someone with strong experience in the following areas:

• Ability to design and implement ELT processes, data warehouse architectures, data marts, cubes, and dashboards in alignment with strategy and best practices.
• Create Proof of Concepts to demonstrate that business requirements can be fulfilled by proposed solutions.
• At least 8 years of proven BI development experience in financial services, particularly with Kimball methodology and extensive knowledge of MS SQL.
• Minimum of 3 years of Solution Delivery experience utilising Microsoft Azure BI stack (Azure ADF, Azure Blob storage, Synapse, CI/CD, and PowerBI).
• Experience mentoring / coaching
• Lead in designing, developing, and ensuring accountability for data engineering services and semantic layers within their data warehouse. 
• Designed & built relational and dimensional models
• Successfully led on data engineering activities such as release management, environment controls, CICD pipeline orchestration
