Job Title: Contract Technical Data Analyst

Duration: 6 months, with potential for extension

Rate: £500 - £550 per day (Inside IR35)

Location: 1 day a week in Central London

About the Role:

A leading financial services company is seeking a skilled Technical Data Analyst to support the establishment of a new Data Centre of Excellence. This role involves collaborating closely with data engineering and analytics teams to design, develop, and enhance data solutions. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in Snowflake, Azure, SQL, and Alteryx, with the capability to ensure data quality, optimize data models, and streamline data processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the setup and implementation of a new Data Centre of Excellence
• Develop and optimize data models within Snowflake and Azure SQL
• Use Alteryx for data preparation, blending, and advanced analytics workflows
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather data requirements and provide actionable insights
• Ensure data governance and quality standards are met and maintained
• Document processes, procedures, and best practices for data usage and management

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience with Snowflake, Azure SQL, and Alteryx
• Strong SQL skills, with expertise in data modeling and data transformation
• Prior experience within the financial services industry is highly desirable
• Knowledge of data governance, quality assurance, and data warehousing best practices
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
