Main duties of the job

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in senior-level data and analytics leadership, ideally within the NHS or a similarly complex environment.
  • Expertise in business intelligence systems, including Power BI .
  • Strong strategic vision and a track record of leading data-driven transformations.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Passion for using data to improve patient care.

Education, Qualifications and Training

Essential
  • oEducated to Master's degree level or equivalent experience
  • oIn depth theoretical and specialist knowledge/experience as a subject matter expert business intelligence, data and analysis

Experience and Knowledge

Essential
  • oIn depth knowledge and proven expertise in navigating the complexities of NHS provider environments and/or organisations of similar scale to the Trust.
  • oUnderstand the end-to-end information lifecycle including the supporting technical infrastructure required and the data governance and cultural demands.
  • oDemonstrated capability to autonomously drive initiatives and deliver results at senior management level
  • oSignificant experience in transformation, and the education needed to embed analytics into organisational culture to become an Insight Driven Organisation

Skills and Abilities

Essential
  • oI have extensive experience of working across organisational boundaries in a complex health and care system and a data, analytics and intelligence environment.
  • oI have extensive experience of working at a senior level and acting as an interface between clinical, managerial operational and digital colleagues as subject expert on data and analytics
  • oI have successful experience of managing senior relationships across multiple partner organisations
  • oI have significant experience in using data and analytics to inform transformation and driving continuous improvement in intelligence service provision.
  • oI have proven experience in understanding issues and using data to plan projects that span clinical and non-clinical domains, such as implementing new systems or technical infrastructures, where plans may need to be formulated and adjusted as required.
