1st/2nd Line - IT Helpdesk Engineer

We are partnered with one of the leading IT Support companies in Cambridge, looking to hire a confident and capable 1st and 2nd line technical support engineer into their growing operation.

Our client prides itself on great response times and first-class customer service, so it is vital that you have a friendly, can-do manner and can work well under pressure. They are experiencing strong growth, so for the right candidate there is potential for career progression within the company.

Day to day, you will help to troubleshoot issues arising from clients, work to support ongoing projects and work on server level side also.

Ideally you will have Microsoft 365 administration including Azure AD, Sharepoint, Exchange or InTune, 1-2 years in a frontline IT support and a familiarity with all Windows OS at server and client level, including working knowledge of virtualisation. Though candidates with practical experience who are not fully certified will also be considered.

Having already worked a similar role for a year or two either in house or at a support company, it is expected you have working knowledge of networking principles and technologies, including experience troubleshooting routers, switches & firewalls. Though candidates with the right attitude, a little experience and a relevant degree, keen to pursue a career in IT support will definitely also be considered.

This is a Monday to Friday position, normal office working hours with regular social meet ups as a team to celebrate victories and team bonding. The team is welcoming, with a good sense of humour and people you can learn from in on order to build your career.

Progression opportunities into more senior helpdesk roles, and even field support will be available for candidates with the right attitude and work ethic.
