Job Title: Head of Software Engineering
Location: Remote/Hybrid Client office Buckinghamshire
Employment Type: Permanent
Salary: c £100,000 pa + bonus + bens.
Start Date: ASAP.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the software engineering team, providing guidance, mentorship, and motivation.
- Drive the adoption of new software development methodologies and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement software development strategies.
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of software solutions.
- Ensure the effective use of the Microsoft development stack, including Azure DevOps, CI/CD, Azure Pipelines, and TDD.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the development team.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of the development team, providing regular feedback and support.

Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven track record as a Head of Software Engineering or similar leadership role.
- Strong experience in leading, mentoring, and motivating software development teams.
- Extensive knowledge of the Microsoft development stack, including .NET, C#, Azure DevOps, and Azure Pipelines.
- Hands on "roll sleeves up" approach with in depth understanding of Architecture.
- Strong background in CI/CD, Test-Driven Development (TDD) and other modern software development practices.
- Excellent understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
