Embedded Software Engineer - Automotive

We are pleased to assist our valued client for their role of Embedded Software Engineer - Automotive.

This role reports into the Principle Software Engineer, and role responsibilities are:

* Application development.
* Integration and validation testing for new and existing programmes.
* Automotive Chassis ECU software design, integration and validation on existing and new programs.
* Chassis ECU software design, validation and test, and systems/software requirements definition, to create and manage SW development plan, test cases, validation plan, bug fix, and releases.
* Test and validation of chassis systems in-line with associated systems DVP & System requirements.
* Understanding of how to comply with ISO26262 in terms of system validation.
Education: Minimum Batchelor Degree in Electronics, Software, Control Systems or similar.

Key desirable Skills:-

* Knowledge of Chassis control SW and ECU's
* Experience with vehicle systems calibration
* Experience with Vector toolsets (CANape, CANoe, CANalyzer, vFlash) incl associated hardware.
* Demonstratable Knowledge of ASPICE, MATLAB, C+/++, SIMULINK and Model Based Design * Experience and knowledge of AUTOSAR workflows and associated Vector toolsets (DaVinci)
* Knowledge of SW test case creation and validation.
* Knowledge of software integration, software release baselines, diagnostics (ODBII) requirements, CAN messages/signal definition.
* Strong familiarity with electronic component test validation and certifications.
* Knowledge of ISO 26262 for functional safety and how to conform with the standard.
* Knowledge of system software/hardware validation methods ; HiL, SiL, MiL
